Who are you picking Carwin or Mir? Options

This fight has huge ramifications for the divison. Who are you picking to win this fight?

I think Carwin is going to use Lesnar's game plan. Take Mir down beat on him with his big meat hooks and pound him out. 6'4 and 255 is about the size of Lesnar as well. Divison NCAA II champion. Although his jiujitsu seems to be lacking.

I just don't see Mir having the right stuff to beat this cat.

Carwin is one of two heavyweights in the UFC to wear the 4XL gloves, the other being Brock Lesnar.

this fight wont even be competitive. carwin is a product of the UFC hype machine. he is a big guy with knockout power but mir is also heavy handed with much better striking. i think mir has a better chin as well.

this fight wont make it past the 3 minute mark. im betting that the first exchange of strikes from mir will leave carwin on the mat in a busted heap. he doesnt have the speed, chin, or echnical striking to handle mir's firepower.

mir is going to kongo carwin in impressive fashion. mir takes this either by sub or KO. im leaning towards a KO victory.

carwin was getting worked against gonzaga until he threw that blind KO punch. i think gonzaga destroys him if they ever rematch.

being a division II NCAA wrestling champ is one step above being a high school state wrestling champ. his wrestling wont even be a factor. mir would punk him in a straight up grappling match as well.

Here's the thing Mir isn't taking Carwin down. I don't believe Carwin will take down Mir. My gut says Mir wins but like RayRob pointed out Mir has been hurt by guys that didn't have the power of Carwin.

I'd like Carwin to win, because I've seen Mir/Lesnar enough in both fights to have a decent feeling about what would happen in the third fight. Plus I want to finally put to rest the size difference between Carwin/Lesnar. I think Carwin will be the smaller man in both fights.

Cain absolutely isn't hype. Carwin is the one that has more to prove but Cain has already beaten three legitimate heavyweights in a row Rothwell, Kongo and Nog. What the hell do you want him to do to earn his hype?

Carwin would blast out Gonzaga anytime. Anytime a guy can take out a fighter with one punch it is a huge advantage. Gonzaga couldn't take out Carwin but Carwin did. I actually look at the outcome of fights, I know that maybe crazy but yeah I will stick with that.
