What a fight and card, 3 title fights.
Melendez-Aoki (Melendez title on the line, Aoki's dream title is not) Mousassi-King Mo Shield-Henderson I'm tipping Aoki, Gegard and probably Henderson but I'll be rooting hard for Shields. |

How is this card not better than the average ufc card?
I think people are going to see how good Melendez really is. I was debating someone about these two guys not too long ago. awesome fight. |

Awesome card. I can't wait to see Melendez tap out. Also can't wait to see Lawall get his ass KO'd. I can't stand that fucker.
I like Shields and Henderson, but I don't see Shields having a chance. My predictions: Aoki by triangle choke Mousasi TKO 1 Henderson KO 3 |

My predictions: Aoki by triangle choke Mousasi TKO 1 Henderson KO 3 Yeah Shields to me just doesn't match up with Henderson. Stylewise it seems like the worst possible match up for Shields. I don't see him taking down Henderson and I know he can't trade with Henderson. Melendez is gonna surprise lots of folks. Melendez by GNP. Mousasi is gonna tear apart Mo. This is a destruction waiting to happen |

It is a good card, but I don't see where it's that much better then UFC 111 GSP vs Dan Hardy #1 vs #4 Mir vs Carwin #3 vs #9 Fitch vs Alves #2 vs #3 UFC 112 Silva vs Maia #1 vs #5 BJ vs Edgar #1 vs #7 UFC 113 Machida vs Shogun #1 vs #2 Koscheck vs Daley #5 vs #7 Strikeforce Mousasi vs King Mo #6 vs Unranked Shields vs Henderson #2 vs #7 (and much like Silva vs Maia this one looks like a stinker) Aoki vs Melendez #2 vs #8 It's better then what we've seen the last few UFC, but that's without all the big dogs. |

I think Aoki is a definite underdog here. His only shot is to pull out a slick submission, and even that is not going to be easy. He can't KO Melendez, and he won't win a decision either.
Melendez by 2nd round TKO. |

melendez was robbed of a 4th round stoppage. aoki but scoots into a hard punch and is rocked, melendez goes for the kill landing vicious GnP clean, mario yamasaki stops the fight to stand them up. melendez starts celebrating thinking he won, aoki stumbling around the cage on rubberlegs.
fuck that racist ref trying to protect his fellow countrymen |

Mario Yamasaki was born and raised in Brazil. He's a black belt under Rickson Gracie, so if he was gonna be partial to anybody it would be Melendez of the Caeser Gracie camp.
Leave this board, you retard. |

Gil Melendez is not the second best LW in the world. He's good, don't get me wrong. Sorry Aoki was exposed as the one trick pony he is. No striking, no wrestling.

Well even though we know a motivated Penn is number one when you lose your last fight you have to drop so as of today you cant put Penn ahead of Melendez. Aoki was rated #2 by about every reputable ranking group. So I would have the rankings as 1) Edgar 2) Melendez 3) Penn that is as of today. |

I don't care where reputable ranking groups have them. I've seen enough of Aoki to know he wasn't even a top 5 guy.
Ask yourself would you pick Gil over BJ Penn? Gil over Kenny Florian? Gil over Tyson Griffin? Gil over Sean Sherk? Don't get me wrong he's good I just don't think he's one of the top 2-3 LW's in the world |

He doesnt have a weak spot. He is like Edgar in that regard. |

He's not outwrestling any of those guys I listed, so then I have to take into account striking. He's not a better striker then any of them, as good maybe. Kenny Florian would bust him up.
