Now, I admit, I haven't followed MMA all that much, but why is this Little Evil bloke such a legend? I've seen like 4 of his fights and each time the announcers hype him up and go on and on about what a legend he is, then he gets the piss beat out of him, cries and gives a ricockulous speech.

Don't get it, cah.

His legend was built YEARS ago, circa 2002. He beat BJ Penn at LW to become the first UFC LW champion. To this day, he is the only man to beat BJ at 155. Since then, though, he hasn't beaten anyone of note and his last bunch of fights have been train wrecks, with him getting sub'd easily or KO'd bad.

Not to mention he was an underdog against BJ and at that point Penn only had 3 bouts under his belt. Pulver was technically great for that time in the sport, no really big defining fights up until his bout with BJ but he did beat a VERY green Joe Stevenson and a win over Uno. Personally I wouldn't call Pulver a legend but thats just me, never really liked the guy.

I read BJ made the same amount of money as Pulver in lossing the bout and that was the reason Pulver left the UFC, demanded more money and they shit on um.

He also peaked in his late 20s. He's in his late 30s now, and for most guys, especially the lightning fast little guys, that's way too old. In fact, I think early 30s is pushing it. It's the same in boxing. I can imagine someone making a very similar post about Erik Morales, asking what is so special about him, given that he has lost his last four fights, two by KO.
