Briggs is probably the only heavy out there who would have a chance at KOing Vitali. (*In the first four rounds anyway.) Hope this fight gets made. One of the most entertaining fights that can be made right now. Fuck those boring ass title fights.
Vitali by late stoppage. *It sucks that I have to type this because its so fucking obvious, but just as sure as I dont, some fucking dipshit will come along and say "Maybe in the first four rounds. Briggs has asthma you know and runs out of gas!" |

Vitali can fight:
1) a top 15 ranked WBC contender 2) another belt-holder All in all, maybe 17 possible legally permissible opponents. Vitali can't or shouldn't fight: 1) someone he's already beaten(4 people) 2) someone who already has a fight lined up(at least 3 more) 3) someone his brother has already beaten(1 more) 4) someone nobody's ever heard of(3 more) 5) his own brother(1) Vitali won't be able to fight(due to money issues or unwillingness/unavailability of opponent) 1) Haye That leaves maybe 3 guys who fit the criteria--Valuev, Briggs, and Liakhovich If you want to stretch things a bit more--Boytsov or Solis(though I think Solis is supposed to fight Austin for the mandatory?) |
