That's probably a better fight.

Povetkin is obviously not ready and that fight would blow.

Yes, Peter is allegedly on a bit of a comeback right now, and Wlad is at or near his peak, so this should be a pretty good matchup. I expect Peter to come out aggressive and fast, because he knows he's got zero chance otherwise.

Peter knows he can hurt him, so he shouldn't fight scared. Good for Wlad.

Yeah, I'd actually be interested in Wlad/Peter II.

But this is a good matchup.

Peter can get into Wlad's kitchen.

Disappointing but understandable on Povetkin's part. Teddy is right, Povetkin has faced no-one that would have prepared him for Wlad, and he is pretty green at just 19 fights. The Peter fight is a great alternative. Povetkin's shot will come back around, he just needs to stay busy and step up his level of competition so that he's ready next time around.

He can hit him in the back of the head a few times. I think this will be less competitive than the first match.

In today's division, Peter is a big win. Hell, its Viturdi's ONLY win.

Wlad has taken on a challenge. He has stepped up. Will THE HAYEMAKER do the same?

Well, if Wlad conducts himself like a Champion and not like a wet noodle when he gets bum-rushed, that won't happen.

Both sides were at fault for that crap in the first fight.....Sam for being reckless and Wlad for being Wlad.

Their first fight was relatively ugly. peter bum-rushing in and landing a few illegal/momentum knockdown aided blows, Wlad fighting off of his back foot and being just effective enough to put rounds in the bank. I expect a better contest this time around, as Wlad is more seasoned and should be able to more confidently control the action from center-ring, and Peter will be more determined to keep the pressure on and not let it go to the cards. Wlad TKO 10.

Other than Viturdi or THE HAYEMAKER, is there a bigger fight for Wlad? Nope. This is great. Wlad should be complimented by all.

I would think HBO will show this one. The first fight was compelling, Peter is a big name in this shitty HW division, Wlad is still champ and a contract fighter with them. If they don't show this fight, I don't know what Wlad fight they'd deem worthy at this point.
