Is anyone else getting tired of hearing what a quality undercard this is? Admittedly it's better than most, but I still don't think it's as great as there making it out to be. Plus Schaeffer keeps making it sound like he's doing fight fans a favor ("Who likes to lose a few million, right? So now, we hope fans agree and support us. If not, I'll be less likely to be sympathetic to fans' complaints in the future."). It's like he knows JMM v Diaz really isn't PPV worthy and he's trying to pump it up with an ok undercard and saying he better see results or else. http://sports.yahoo.com/box/news?slug=ki-ppvundercard072510 |

Too hard to just list the undercard fights ya fuckstick?
Danny Jacobs v Dmitry Pirog for a vacant middleweight title. Robert Guerrero will move up to super lightweight to take on Joel Casamayor And one-time super hot prospect Jorge Linares will meet Rocky Juarez. It is a decent card, top to bottom. |

I figure if you're visiting this site you should know what the damn fights are. Yes, it's a decent card, but not worth $60 that GBP is charging. I'm just burnt out on all the Golden Bullshit that GBP is raining down on us for this card. |

Don't buy it. I'm not. If they're not putting on a mega-fight, I won't even consider a PPV these days. Unfortunately for boxing, a half a million landscapers don't agree with me.

Yea as good as the first fight was, the rematch ain't worth 60 bucks in my view, even with that half-decent card.
And just how decent is it really? Jacobs is still very green, I know nothing of this guy he's fighting. Anybody seen him fight? The fact that its for a vacant title depresses me. Guerrero has never impressed me, and he's fighting the corpse of Joel Casamayor. Yipee.... Linarez vs. Juarez...sounds like two "never weres" to me. Yea Richard, you sure are "doing us a favor". |

Truthfully, they all look like decent fights on paper. They also look like the kinds of fights I should be able to see on regular HBO, or even FNF.

Yeah I will skip. It is tempting though. HBO will replay the main event but not the preliminaries. |

Yeah that is the really the key. JMM has to be on the decline now. He is just hoping to have one more shot at Pac. Diaz lost to Paulie X2 and Nate Campbell. Diaz has already peaked. He is about the same as Rocky Juarez. Good fighter but never going to be elite. Odds are interesting JMM is significant favorite. -500 on some sites. |

Jacobs vs Pirog is more interesting than the main event. And compared to the last 5~ years of shit undercards, this one is great.
Another card that has an even better undercard is the Alexander/Kotelnik one. Tavoris Cloud vs Glen Johnson and Cory Spinks vs Cornelius Bundrage. |

Obviously his record is solid. Jean Paul Mendy is on the card 28-0 and has not fought anyone of note. |

Obviously his record is solid. Jean Paul Mendy is on the card 28-0 and has not fought anyone of note. Pirog is technically solid, good movement (he's got shoulder rolls, head movement, ducks, weaves, comes in and out, pretty impressive for a Russian really), good jab, if a bit lazy, tries to stay in front of you and make you fight his fight. Kinda reminds me of Dariusz. But he's also a bit slow and plodding (Dariusz was way faster and more aggressive, Pirog fights at slower, deliberate tempo). Jacobs is flashy and has fast hands. I think Jacobs wins because of that. I'm excited for Pirog/Jacobs and N'Jikam/Golovkin. Those are the 4 big middleweight prospects right now, and hopefully the winners fight eachother. |
