Originally, there was mention of a fight with Caballero as a replacement. Of course that's too good to be true. So instead we'll likely get a decent fighter in Orlando Salido, but one likely to be KO'd by the middle rounds. Big surprise that Salido's promoter is a close associate of Arum's (Fernando Beltran). This is yet another fight kept between fighters from Top Rank's extended family, instead of a great fight with a willing Caballero.

From fightnews.com

It has been confirmed that WBC featherweight champion Elio Rojas has suffered a shoulder injury forcing him to pull out of his September 11 title unification bout with WBA featherweight king Yuriorkis Gamboa. Gamboa may now fight a unification bout against IBF champ Orlando Salido.

Damn I was looking forward to this fight.

Got damn boxing sucks ass this year.

The super six match ups and the light heavy match ups (Dawson/Pascal,Cloud/Johnson) are the only bouts worth a damn now.

Caballero, Gamboa, Juan Lopez, Chris John what a stacked divison. Yet nothing is happening. Pathetic.

I would like to see Caballero vs. Lopez and John vs. Gamboa. Then winners meet.

The only divisions where the best want to fight each other now are 168 and 175.

Fucking shame.

Lot of good divisions right now 140, 154, 168, 175, and 126. They need to get these fights made.

If Gamboa doesn't fight Rojas, he fights Salido, another unification fight, or Caballero, a top 4 fighter at the division. Either way, relevant fight.

Throw in Lopez fighting Rafael Marquez, and the featherweight division is shaping up for a collision course. Gamboa, Lopez/Marquez, Rojas, John, and Caballero will have to fight eachother soon enough.

Mayweather's behavior would suggest it's a certain Filipino congressman.
