September 11? I hope Peter has already been training for weeks, because he's only got about 5 weeks until Sept 11. It would be a complete waste of time if Peter was only given 5 weeks to train, and came into the ring at 260.

Oh of course. This ain't a set-up or anything. And has anybody even seen Peter since...fuck when was the last time he fought? And now he has 5 weeks to get ready for Wlad? God I hate these fuckers.

This fight might be decent, but it's nothing compared to what Wlad v Haye would have been.

Last time I saw Peter fight it was on espn and against Chambers who only did just enough to win and made Peter look better than he really was at the moment.

Shouldn't Peter be professional enough not to walk around at 300 between fights?

I still think this is one of Wlad's best options. At least this guy can hurt him, and is willing to mix it up.

They told them to start getting ready a couple weeks ago, when they weren't 100% sure Povetkin was gonna sign. If Peter's people didn't have him warming up then, it's on them.

Peter has officially turned into a tune up guy. So sad. And I remember that Chambers fight now, was supposed to be his comeback fight after the Vitali loss right? He looked like shit.

Yep. But no one will take responisbility, as per usual in this fucking sport.

Is it time to start worrying about this? A few years ago, he looked like a prime time guy. Not a guy who is ready to be a fallback option on a month's notice.

Troubling.

He fought 3 scrubs plus low-tier contender Nagy Aguilera since then. I'm told he looked good in the Aguilera fight, actually showed up in shape and handled his business quickly.

To me he was always overrated, even when he was coming up. For all that power, due was as raw as a piece of steak. Now I admit I almost started to come around on him after the Toney fights, he actually impressed me in those cuz even an ancient James Toney has better defense than literally everybody in the division and he dominated him, especially that 2nd fight. But other than that, what was so special about him? Just shows how desperate we as fans are for that next great heavyweight.

Anyone with big power gets benefit of the doubt. People still think Tua might be something.

Yea but at least Tua in his day showed some actual...boxing ability. Side to side movement, decent footwork, etc... Peter just plods in there and if you happen to be in the way of one of his fists coming at you, you went down. he makes Tua look like Ali in there.

Firstly, ANYONE can hurt Wlad, and secondly, since Jameel McCline nearly decapitated him, peter hasn't looked at all like hes "willing to mix it up"

This ain't the same Same Peter that it was the first time these two guys fought. Vitali beat the spirit out of him.

Maybe so, but if there's going to be a time for this turd to shine, its now. He knows he can beat Wlad. If you can drop a guy that much, you can beat him. He also knows this is the last shot. If he comes out flat and disinterested, he's fucking done.

I can't believe I'm defending a Bitschko, but I like this fight.

I agree. I'm looking forward to it.

I just hope its not going to be at 3PM or some shit, on the internet.

From what I hear, Wlad's already reserving another date for a fight in December. I'd be happy if any belt-holder decided to fight 3-4 times a year, and hope he fights 4x next year. The best thing he can do for his career is take on a half dozen top 5-10 guys in a row, and get them out of there in 3-6 rounds each.

"Bum of the month" is the only way to go in this shitty division.
