 Watching 'The Daily Line' on VS and he just said, 'I will never fight Rashad Evans. He my brothah' or some such. What the hell is up with these fighters saying they wont fight their friends and shit? Fuck that. You're a professional fighter. What if Jones winds up with the LH belt and Rashad is in line for a title shot? Is he gonna vacate? God damned minorities and foreigners with their bullshit. |

One day were talking about competitions and I joked about how me and this other heavyweight will dominate and meet in the finals. Him and the instructor were like who whoa whoa ... we'll flip a coin. I thought they were fucking kidding. Apparently not, if two guys from our school are forced to meet, they flip a coin. I was like dude, I roll with this fucker at 100% every day in class, why not for a medal? MMA might be a little different bceause you kick and punch each other in the face but I was a bit surprised.

There are different philosophies on differen teams. There are times though when maybe 4 people enter a tournament at the same divison and skill. Maybe 2 of them from the same school. So you can forfeit a match or fight it. I see some schools are okay with it. In JJ I have also seen times when the school promoting the event does not like a particular school and will intentionally match their school together in the 1st match. Since our dojo is not a traditional BJJ school they try to do that to our guys from time to time. In an MMA fight I would have a hard time going up against a teammate I knew I could beat. I would not want to do that to a training partner. |

Anderson is the same. He' gets all butt hurt when a friend is the next in line contender. He says that it's disrespectful and that his friends should wait until his time as Champion has gone.
 One such example is Vitor. Anderson talked all kinds of shit about him though Vitor has been more than respectful. He says that Vitor wont stand with him.

One time, when I was 13, I won the 13-32 division in a turdnament. My dad won the 33 and over division, and the rules stipulated for a grand championship fight off.
The tournament administrator didn't even consider it for a second. There was no fucking way that we were going to compete against each other.
